Geometric Insets

These geometric insets help a child learn to identify and quickly distinguish various shapes.  They also help strengthen the pincer grip (three finger grip used to correctly hold a pen or a pencil for writing) by tracing around the shapes and shading them in.  They also encourage creativity and artistic design.  These shapes also prepare a child for mathematics in particular geometry.  My son has enjoyed playing with these and tracing the inner shape. Some shapes are new to him but he has quickly caught on by using them in different ways.
