It’s very important for kids to learn the sounds of letters before the names of each letter. My son used to watch Leap Frog’s “The Letter Factory” when he was 2 and learned his sounds. We emphasized the sounds for a while.
We have recently moved to blending and I was looking for a more hands-on approach. We have been using CVC flash cards with pictures in the back. This was a continuation of that activity in a more hands-on approach. I move the first letter of the word to create multiple words within the same family group.
