Scissor Skills

I never knew the importance of scissor skills until I began searching ways to help my son with pre-writing skills. Up until then I had never given my son any scissors for fear of him cutting himself and never felt it was a skill he needed at that age.  I purchased child size scissors and began teaching him proper scissor skills.  I was amazed at how quickly he learned. He loved using scissors and all he wanted to do was cut paper. I was also amazed at how quickly his grip improved and he was able to have better pen control.
